Need a hand?
Want to lend a hand?
The clergy are always willing to visit, and to bring Holy Communion to those who are housebound.
When we are ill or distressed, it can be helpful to have hands prayerfully placed on our head or shoulders. It can also be helpful for a priest to anoint us with holy oil.
Anointing the sick (or those in distress) is one of the seven sacraments of the church.
Subject to Covid-19 guidelines, The Sacrament of Healing is available during communion on the last Sunday of every month, except August and December, and when this Sunday falls on Easter Day.
We normally receive the Sacrament of Healing in two parts:
- The laying on of hands with prayer
- The anointing with oil
If there is any other way in which we might be able to give you pastoral support, please let us know.
